Gler i Bergvík is the first, and only, hot-glass workshop in Iceland. The workshop was established in 1982 by Sigrún Ó. Einarsdóttur and Søren S. Larsen and run by Sigrun since 2003.
The glassworks are designed by Sigrun and created with assistance from glassblowers from all over the world. Glassblowing is an ancient craft, but Sigrun also incorporates various new techniques in her works. She makes functional items as well as one-off artistic pieces and she also undertakes special designs for companies and organisations.Sigrun has had solo exhibitions in Iceland and abroad. Her works are shown in several museums world and are published in international books and magazines.
